Supporting rural transportation is important and those areas have a much harder time scraping together the infrastructure and resources. I support transit and it's not just for cities. Plus, we all move ahead when the pieces start coming together across the country - rural and urban. This impacts, income, industry, and energy. Reply

Reply to G.S. : Rural Transportation is commendable. I am sure there are at least 1,000 similar communities who need new buses. The difference is that they are not getting them. The problem with ths stimulus is simple: all communities have needs but the federal government is the arbitrator with our tax dollars. Restore funds to all communities based on population Reply

Reply to Dennis Soliwoda : Let's not take the money away in the first place. This means lower taxes. Some people seem to think that the government has money that is not ours. If the local community really needs a bus, they should decide on how to fund it at the local level. Reply
