***Original Synopsis***
Synopsis: Added: Mar 13, 2009 1:28 pm This project consists of the demolition of 19 existing vault toilets on the South Park, Salida, Pikes Peak, South Platte, San Carlos, and Leadville Ranger Districts of the Pike and San Isabel National Forests in the State of Colorado. The project includes removal of all material from Government land and backfilling sites to existing grade. Due to the difference in construction methods contractors are strongly encouraged to visit each site prior to submitting a bid. The elevation of the sites is about 7,500 feet above sea level.
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and other incidentals necessary to successfully complete the project. The contractor shall comply with governing EPA notification regulations before beginning demolition and comply with hauling and disposal regulations of authorities having jurisdiction. Demolished materials shall become the contractor’s property and shall be removed from the sites. The vault toilet waste shall be pumped by a commercial hauler with equipment for pumping and hauling human waste.
The estimated starting date for this contract is April 20, 2009, with a completion date of approximately June 20, 2009. The contractor shall maintain progress at a rate that shall assure completion and acceptance of work within this time frame.
Estimated dollar value of this contract is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The solicitation will be restricted to Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The small business size standard for this type of work (NAICS Code 238910) is $14 million.
